Chandler

One of only two Oklahoma communities settled by its own land run in 1891, Chandler, Oklahoma has a robust and vibrant history to explore. The Chandler Route 66 Interpretative Center, housed in the restored 1930s-era Chandler armory made from native sandstone, brings the Route 66 experience to life with interactive displays, videos and informative, entertaining exhibits. Nearby, the Lincoln County Museum of Pioneer History features rare, silent movies by cinematographer Benny Kent, and a marionette play presented with hand-carved marionettes. Sipping pleasures abound at the Greenfield Vineyard & Winery.
