      The Blue River in Tishomingo is a beautiful spring-fed and unspoiled river featuring several waterfalls. Camping is available in the Blue River Campground and a trout season from November through March attracts fisherman from all over the region. View all Photos
      Located on Pennington Creek, the Tishomingo Fish Hatchery is helping to perpetuate several native aquatic species such as paddlefish, alligator gar, channel catfish and alligator snapping turtles. Biologists will take visitors on a tour and educate them about the species being raised here. Millions of fish and turtles are raised at this facility annually and most are released across the state to stabilize populations in Oklahoma's lakes and rivers. While you can't fish in the stock ponds, there is bountiful fishing available in adjacent Pennington Creek which yields sunfish, three bass species, channel catfish and flatheads.
