The Oklahoma City Museum of Art offers visual art, film, and a cafe.

With culture, beauty and high style, this metro meet-up satisfies in all respects for a super-full weekend schedule of recreation and relaxation.

Day One

Afternoon - Kick off your afternoon arrival in Oklahoma City with a tour of the Myriad Botanical Gardens & Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory. The visually impressive Crystal Bridge is home to exotic plants from around the world, and its interior spans from rainforest to desert environments. Get a view of the garden on a stroll behind the waterfall or atop the catwalk in the trees.

Next, arrive at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, home to one of the most comprehensive collections of Chihuly glass in the world, including an astounding 55-foot glass tower. An exclusive behind-the-scenes tour will take you to secret spots where art is stored, while guides-in-the-know will detail how an exhibit is designed and how museum experts prepare an exhibit before its public debut. After a museum tour, head to the roof for Cocktails on the Skyline, and have a relaxing drink while you take in the ever-evolving Oklahoma City skyline. (Every Thursday evening, May through October.)

Evening - Before dinner, check in at your favorite Oklahoma City hotel, throw your clothes in the closet and meet your friends for a fast-paced evening at Remington Park. Indulge in dinner at Remi’s, then head to Remington Park’s casino to try your luck on over 700 gaming machines in 27,000 square feet of space.

Day Two

Morning - Day two begins with a backstage pass to Lyric Theatre. Your girls can watch the actors rehearse before their performance and see where many of the stage props are made. Anyone who’s ever marveled at a stage-worthy costume will appreciate a visit to the area where the costumes are designed and handmade for the productions.

You'll unearth elegant shops filled with home decorator items, clothing and antiques.

Afternoon - Relax over lunch at nearby Bin 73, a locally owned eatery with a to-die-for menu and expansive wine list. Stay in the area and spend some afternoon time in the Western Avenue District. You’ll unearth elegant shops filled with home decorator items, clothing, and antiques. Hit nearby Penn Square Mall for specialty shops, chain stores, and a great central location.

Evening - Freshen up before dinner in Bricktown at Nonna’s Euro-American Ristorante, a former warehouse that now showcases multiple floors of dining and art. This downtown hot spot is known for their mind-blowing bakery and desserts, and the on-site gift boutique, the Painted Door, is worth a stop even without the meal.

Finish dinner and bring your day full circle with a return to Lyric Theatre. Your ladies will love the Broadway-quality classic and contemporary musicals, this time with an insider’s perspective.
