"Home is where the heart is" describes this community perfectly. Here, you will find an unmatched natural environment of water, beautiful rustling trees and rolling hills.

The community of Sand Springs is family-oriented, friendly and peaceful. Visitors can relax in over 8,000 acres of parklands or swim and fish in the 26,000 acre Lake Keystone. Our community has a small town atmosphere with big city amenities. All these qualities make visitors feel right at home.

Set among the hills and wooded terrain along the Arkansas River, Sand Springs is the most visually appealing community in the Tulsa area. Located seven miles west of downtown Tulsa on the Keystone Expressway, Sand Springs has a population of 20,000.

A wide variety of family recreation awaits you, with Keystone Lake and State Park less than 15 minutes away. Extensive walking, jogging and cycling trails are found throughout the community, along with 19 parks, 9 tennis courts, and a baseball and soccer complex. We offer an 18 acre urban fishing lake, municipal golf course and a rodeo arena. The national home of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Oklahoma" performed at Discoveryland's outdoor amphitheater, is also located in our community.

Sand Springs hosts special events that include The Herbal Affair held annually in April on the third Saturday; the Great Labor Day Weekend Festival in September, Fantasy Forest at the River Parks to celebrate the end of October, and the Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade of Lights, which is the oldest and largest evening parade in the area.
