Gore

Welcome to Gore, the trout capital of Oklahoma. Nestled along the Lower Illinois River and just a few miles from Lake Tenkiller, this small town offers big fun for the avid angler. In addition to trout, the area also offers fishing for striped bass, walleye and paddlefish.

Visitors will also find a charming Main Street with ample shopping and dining opportunities. Browse fun finds at the Anne-Paige Gift Boutique and Garden Gate Shop & Emily’s Tea Room. Make your visit to Gore even better with an overnight stay at the Blue Doors at Tenkiller. Built as a motor court in the 1950s, these cabins have been completely renovated and updated. Guests will find a private fishing pond, vegetable garden and outdoor kitchen. Another family favorite is the Fin & Feather Resort, a year-round resort near Lake Tenkiller. While you’re there, fill up at Soda Steve’s, a unique eatery with a fun tropical atmosphere.
