Tishomingo is a friendly little community with Pennington Creek winding through town, plus a children's splash park, family picnic area and swimming hole.

The comfortable John Wayne-style room features a two-person Jacuzzi, double shower, queen-size bed and a 8'x40' balcony overlooking the koi pond, deer creek and bird sanctuary.  This room is handicap accessible. The Will Rogers-style room features a shower/tub combination, queen-size bed and overlooks the deer feeders and front yard. The smaller Gene Autry-style room features twin beds, a shower and overlooks the front lawn. The sofa in the living room makes into an extra bed for guests.

The common area features comfortable recliners, one of which is a lift chair and a couch in front of a cozy gas fireplace.  Guests may kick back and enjoy television, watch a DVD, read a book or surf the Internet.  Guests are also encouraged to enjoy the large balcony overlooking the woods with an abundance of birds and wildlife. A fully equipped kitchen and dining area are featured indoors, while an outdoor barbecue cooker and a fire-pit are located outside - perfect for steaks or roasting marshmallows. A handicap accessible ramp and handrails are located throughout the home. The converted two car garage is now a game room with a pool table, ping pong table, washer toss and various games for young and old to enjoy.

The Pink Pistol boutique created and owned by Miranda Lambert is just four miles away. Famed country music stars Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert live nearby and call Tishomingo and Johnston County, Oklahoma home.

Other nearby attractions and activities include fishing, hunting, hiking, bird watching, disk golf, golf, children's splash park, three museums, the replica Old West town Sipokni West, a casino, nature trails and more.  Nearby restaurants feature barbecue, catfish, steak and Mexican food.  The Blue River is located nearby for catfish or trout fishing.  The home's 30 acres joins the 14,000-acre Tishomingo National Wildlife Refuge. Located four miles southeast of Tishomingo in beautiful rolling wooded hills, the home is named after the famous Oklahoma Songster Woody Guthrie who wrote "Oklahoma Hills," "This Land is Your Land," and many other ballads.
