I called on prices here and all beds are the same price and for the price I would rather stay in a cabin at Salt Plains State park for the same price! I get a discount there so I pay less than for a motel...wow
Cherokee Inn is not fancy, but is the closest accommodations to the Salt Plains NWR. We stayed in a non-smoking room with one full bed. The room was very clean, though it could stand an update. The room also had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. While we didn't hear a peep out of our neighbors through the walls, we could hear everything that went on outside in the parking lot through the door. Not that a lot went on out there, mainly car doors or someone walking by. The property is right off of Highway 58, so there's a little road noise, too. We were there on a Sunday night, and the only other visitors were driving work trucks with labels such as geophysical services and hydraulic specialties. The property is pet friendly so we took our dog with us. He really enjoyed resident canine Lou.
