Sequoyah State Park, located in eastern Oklahoma on the shores of Fort Gibson Lake, is a haven for water lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

With over 19,000 surface acres of water and 225 miles of shoreline, the park attracts boaters as well as those who just enjoy relaxing on the swim beach. Visitors enjoy hiking, picnicking, guided horseback trail rides and Western-themed activities as well as wildlife watching, golf and disc-golf, fishing and camping.

I am planning to visit the park and stay at park lodge. Is it safe to stay there ? I'll be with my two 10 year olds. Is the lodge crowded at this time of the year? Next week?
