Red Rock Ranch, located nine miles south of Ponca City, offers traditional bobwhite quail, pheasant and chukar hunting in a classic Oklahoma setting. Hunters have a wide choice of cover to hunt—feed strips, field borders, open fields, and oak woods and draws. A network of winding roads and trails is maintained so that you have access to more birds. You, your hunting partner, guide and bird dogs have a large hunting area for the morning hunt and a different area in the afternoon. There is always something new and challenging at Red Rock Ranch.
On a typical full day hunt, guides will pick you up at the lodge at 9:30am. You and your hunting partner will be driven to the assigned hunting area where you will hunt until noon. You will return to the lodge for a delicious lunch overlooking the scenic Arkansas River. At 2:30pm, you will be picked up for the afternoon hunt, where you and your hunting partner will enjoy a different hunting course. You will return to the lodge about 5pm.

After your hunt, your birds are dressed, quick frozen and packed in a reusable soft cooler to take with you. The cooler will keep the birds frozen for 6-8 hours and can be easily checked with your luggage on commercial airlines. When you are not hunting, you can enjoy fishing for rainbow trout. Light fly or spinning gear is available to fight these popular game fish. Along with your birds, your catch will be cleaned and packaged for you to take home.
Meals are served in the lodge, which features a large living area and is available for your use and enjoyment when you are not hunting. Two six-bedroom cottages are adjacent to one another and are within easy walking distance to the lodge. For your pleasure, the lodge stocks a selection of beverages, liquors and wines. However, the bar remains closed prior to and during hunting hours.
The Ranch has a complete stock of all gauges of shotgun shells and loads best suited for the style of hunting found at Red Rock Ranch. Red Rock Ranch prefers all guests to use over and under or side by side double barrel shotguns. The Ranch has guns if you desire. Red Rock Ranch provides a memorable shooting experience in one of Oklahoma’s premier wildlife settings.
