Okfuskee County Wildfire Cook-Off
Come to the Okfuskee County Volunteer Firefighters Wildfire Cook-Off in Okemah to taste delicious barbecue and to enjoy live music throughout the two-day event. This barbecue cook-off attracts contestants from across the state and surrounding states to see who has the tastiest barbecue. Witness as cook-off teams compete for bragging rights in the categories of chicken, beef and pork.Â
Tasting kits will be available for purchase and will include barbecue pork, baked beans, potato salad and coleslaw. In addition to the live music, the event will also feature arts and crafts booths, food vendors and a children's play area. The Okfuskee County Wildfire Cook-Off is a Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned event. No coolers will be allowed. Okfuskee County is totally protected by volunteer fire departments, so come on out and support them and enjoy some great barbecue.
