The NSU Sequoyah Institute Playhouse, named after the creator of the Cherokee alphabet Sequoyah, works to develop and foster student's passion for the arts outside of the classroom. The Sequoyah Institute offers several events throughout the year in order to unite the community in the arts. Two of the Sequoyah Institute's programs are the Galaxy of Stars and Stars in the Summer. Galaxy of Stars brings national and international artists to the community where they will perform.
