Description

Bixby's largest family event and one of the largest barbecue competitions in the state of Oklahoma, the Bixby BBQ 'n Blues Festival features two days of mouthwatering barbecue and great music.

Of the hundreds of barbeque competitions and festivals across the country, only a few are selected by 'BBQ Pitmasters,' which airs on Destination America. This year, Bixby BBQ n’ Blues Festival is one of the events chosen by Destination America as a backdrop to one of the most popular BBQ cooking shows on television. A hot new season of BBQ Pitmasters is cooked up and ready to be served to find the country's best BBQ cook and this year's BBQ Pitmasters. The series features different competitions, each one selecting a winning team that moves to the grand finale. Those teams compete head to head, and only one can walk away with the grand prize and title of Pitmaster.

Is there live music? If so, is there a band list anywhere?

Waste of time. Charged $10 to park. We walked in and found that the BBQ tasting was over with and if you wanted BBQ or anything to eat you have to purchase tickets at $1 each. Then use those tickets to purchase food from concession stands similar to what you find at the fair. I didn't go there to eat a funnel cake or BBQ that I can get in a restaurant like Oklahoma Joes. So no we didn't eat. Won't go back. Suggestion you don't go at all.
