The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon is not about running, it is about life, honoring the memory of life lost through the tragedy of the Oklahoma City bombing and celebrating the gift of life given equally to each person. This is the spirit in which the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon was conceptualized. This inspiring event realizes consistent and impressive growth each year, so come join over 25,000 annual visitors and participate in this year's marathon.
The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon is unlike any other marathon, as it combines the personal challenges of running a marathon with the emotion of a shared national tragedy. This marathon is a Boston qualifying USATF-sanctioned event on a certified 26.2 mile, single loop course. Entrants must be 16 or older on race day to register for the marathon, which will begin promptly at 6:30am. The start line is located on Robinson Avenue between NW 6th St and NW 5th St, at the east entrance to the Oklahoma City National Memorial. This marathon will feature traffic control for 6.5 hours and the Chronotrack timing system to ensure that everyone participating receives an accurate time.
