Bring the family out for a weekend of festivities during El Reno's Small Town Weekend celebration.  Held rain or shine, the Small Town Weekend will cruise into town this June to celebrate everything nostalgic on the local strip of Route 66.  Numerous events will be held throughout the weekend, from the only legal drag race and burnout on Route 66 to grass car races and an open car show.

The Small Town Weekend will also be filled with children's activities, festival food, vendors, live entertainment and more.  Fun for the whole family, this El Reno event begins on Friday ...

Bring the family out for a weekend of festivities during El Reno's Small Town Weekend celebration.  Held rain or shine, the Small Town Weekend will cruise into town this June to celebrate everything nostalgic on the local strip of Route 66.  Numerous events will be held throughout the weekend, from the only legal drag race and burnout on Route 66 to grass car races and an open car show.

The Small Town Weekend will also be filled with children's activities, festival food, vendors, live entertainment and more.  Fun for the whole family, this El Reno event begins on Friday night at 6pm with drag racing on historic Route 66.  Watch cars burn up the pavement as they speed down this classic highway.  On Saturday, head out to the car show to admire classic and modified cars, among other sleek vehicles.  Kids can bring their own "cars" to race in the hot wheel race, held from 9am to 12pm.  The famous burnouts on Route 66 will begin at noon.  See souped-up lawnmowers show off in the grass car races on Saturday afternoon, then stick around for the closed cruise at 7pm.  Featuring cars 25 years or older, this car cruise will also offer cash prizes, door prizes, t-shirt giveaways and more.
