Land Run Festival
Choctaw, OK 73020
Choctaw's Land Run Festival celebrates the Oklahoma Land Run of April 22, 1889. The east boundary of that run was the Indian Meridian, known today as Indian Meridian Road that runs through Choctaw. Planned activities at this educational festival, specifically tailored to school children, include historical presentations, re-enactors, cowboy and cavalry encampments, a jailhouse, mock gun fights, old-fashioned games and much more.
