Honoring the heritage of Durant, the Magnolia Festival of Oklahoma will feature games and festivities perfect for a fun-filled family weekend.  Ride the Ferris wheel and bring the kids to enjoy a wide array of other carnival rides, or simply enjoy perusing craft booths and other exhibitor displays.  Held in Durant, the "City of Magnolias," the Magnolia Festival of Oklahoma will also include live entertainment, a parade, yummy fair food and plenty of free children's events.  

Visitors to the Magnolia Festival of Oklahoma will enjoy country, classic rock and gospel music, as well as a wonderful mix of local entertainment that will take to the stage on Saturday.  Dancing exhibitions will also be held during the event.  Make sure to catch a performance by the Anoli dancers that make it to the festival each year to the delight of returning festival-goers.

Bring the kids to the Magnolia Festival of Oklahoma and watch as they are entertained with activities such as turtle races, a coloring contest and sack races.  All children's events are free of charge and a live talent stage will be set up for any child performer who wishes to perform. 

Come to the festival on Saturday and wander through rows of vintage, antique and modern vehicles in the annual car show, or head inside for a quilt show.  An art show and sale will also be held on the grounds of the Magnolia Festival, which will feature a rich and diverse group of artists exhibiting their work.  Also, this Durant festival will crown its royalty in the event's annual Magnolia Pageant.  Watch as contestants compete on stage and see if your favorite is crowned the winner.

As headquarters of the Choctaw Nation, the city of Durant will showcase the history and folklore of the Choctaws at the Magnolia Festival.  The Princess Pageant features young ladies displaying traditional dresses and talents.  Through their colorful dance movements, the dancers will tell stories rich in Native American heritage.  With a wide variety of events, activities, treats and exhibitions, the Magnolia Festival of Oklahoma is a guaranteed good time.

Also at the festival, you'll be in awe as you see the judging of the 2013 Red River Noodling Shoot Out. With a special appearance from Don "Katt Daddy" Brewer from television's "Mudcats," the contest will draw competitors from throughout the state to bring their biggest catch to be weighed for a cash prize.
