Hackberry Flat Day
Apr 15, 2017
Celebrate the spring migration of birds through the Hackberry Flat Wetlands, just southwest of Frederick at Hackberry Flat Day. Bird watching tours, crawdad fishing and wetland hayrides will be available, along with exhibits about wetlands and birds. Families can pick up a bow and arrow for the first time or get skill development tips at the archery area, then try shooting a shotgun. Activities inside the center during Hackberry Flat Day include viewing wetland creatures in the classroom and experiencing an interactive exhibit about bats in Oklahoma. Bird tours will be available at 9:30am, 11:30am and 1:45pm. Butterfly tours will be available at 9:15am, 11am and 12:30pm. Tour sizes are limited so those interested in a time should make a reservation by phone or email.
