Food, fun and history are on the agenda at the Fort Towson Homecoming Festival. This two-day, citywide celebration kicks off on Friday with a pancake breakfast to welcome a weekend of historical reenactments, live music and plenty of down-home cooking. Start Saturday off with a bang at the wild west gunfight reenactment featuring Indian Territory constables and renegades, followed by a vibrant parade featuring awe-inspiring floats, classic cars and majestic horses.

Stick around for Pony Express races and a BBQ cookout on Saturday afternoon, and enjoy live music as you take in the sights of downtown Fort Towson. Return to the Fort Towson Depot throughout the day for more gunfight reenactments, and be sure to stick around for a street dance and free concert by the Stacey Musgrove Band. You won't want to miss this annual community blowout in southeastern Oklahoma.
