Oklahoma City's premier drag boat racing event, held annually the second weekend in June, makes its return to the Oklahoma River.  Fans will be thrilled as they watch some of the most skilled racing teams compete in boats reaching speeds over 225 miles per hour at this year's Oklahoma City Nationals Drag Boat Racing event.  Come to watch these exciting, high speed boats racing on the Oklahoma River while sampling delicious food from the concession stands.  Don't miss the Show-N-Shine event, held Friday evening, to view the participating high-powered boats and meet the contestants in the pit area.

Enjoy the opening ceremonies and all qualifying races throughout the day on Saturday, and make it back to the Oklahoma River on Sunday for elimination rounds and finals.  Races will consist of quarter-mile contests between two boats specifically designed for high-speed, straight line competition.  The participating boats will begin on a rolling start and then progress down the track.  The Oklahoma City Nationals Drag Boat Racing event is registered and sanctioned by the Southern Drag Boat Association (SDBA) and is one of the largest single drag boat races in the United States.  The projected number of teams and spectators make this event a marquee event for all motor sports and drag racing fans.
