Juneteenth Celebration & Multicultural Rodeo   - Jun 15, 2013 to Jun 16, 2013

This celebration of Juneteenth in Ponca City features a multicultural rodeo as part of the annual, citywide celebration of the abolition of slavery in the United States.  Enjoy a day filled with family fun and bring the kids for activities that include obstacle courses, sand castles, water balloon races and much more.  Visitors to the Juneteenth Celebration & Multicultural Rodeo will also enjoy horseshoes, volleyball, softball and domino and card tournaments.  Food will include mouthwatering burgers, hot dogs, ribs, turkey, barbecue beans and a variety of picnic fare.  ...

This celebration of Juneteenth in Ponca City features a multicultural rodeo as part of the annual, citywide celebration of the abolition of slavery in the United States.  Enjoy a day filled with family fun and bring the kids for activities that include obstacle courses, sand castles, water balloon races and much more.  Visitors to the Juneteenth Celebration & Multicultural Rodeo will also enjoy horseshoes, volleyball, softball and domino and card tournaments.  Food will include mouthwatering burgers, hot dogs, ribs, turkey, barbecue beans and a variety of picnic fare.  Come to this Ponca City event on Friday evening and enjoy performances of live blues music and barbecue, or simply come for the main events held on Saturday.  Past events have also included a parade and petting zoo for the kids. 

The Ponca City Multicultural Rodeo, held Saturday evening at the 101 Rodeo Grounds, is an ORA sanctioned rodeo.  Come and witness as cowboys and cowgirls compete for top honors and buckle awards.  Rodeo events will include tie-down calf roping, bull riding, steer wrestling, junior barrel racing, ladies barrel racing, children's barrel racing, team roping and a pony express.
