Nature lovers and fans of biology unite at BioBlitz!, an annual 24-hour inventory of Oklahoma's biodiversity. Held at Camp Simpson near Milburn in south-central Oklahoma, BioBlitz! will explore the cross timbers ecoregion. This event is hosted by the Oklahoma Biological Survey, and encourages participants to count as many species as possible in a 24-hour period. This hands-on approach to science provides a learning experience like no other for all ages.
Registration for BioBlitz! includes two nights of tent camping at Camp Simpson, an event t-shirt, snacks on Friday night and a light breakfast Saturday morning. Participants in BioBlitz! shoud bring camping equipment, clothing and personal items and equipment to observe, collect and identify organisms.
