Spend your holidays experiencing fun activities as downtown Oklahoma City is turned into a winter wonderland during the annual Downtown in December celebration. Experience the thrill of outdoor ice skating, exhilarating snow tubing down the nation's largest man-made slope, free water taxi excursions on the magically lit Bricktown Canal, free museum Sundays, beautifully-lit areas and plenty of holiday cheer for the entire family. This month-long, family-friendly adventure attracts nearly half a million to the city's 10-block polar playground. Festivities begin the day after Thanksgiving and run through the New Year.

During Downtown in December, Devon Ice Rink opens offering outdoor ice skating. Send the whole family zooming down a giant snowy slope in special tubes inside the Bricktown Ballpark. The sledding slope starts in the upper tier of the ballpark and delivers chills and thrills as riders slide down to the infield area. Enjoy a free boat tour by Bricktown Water Taxi on the Bricktown Canal from 6-9:30pm each Thursday through Sunday.

Gaze at festive light displays in the historic Automobile Alley area just north of Bricktown and then stroll through Bricktown enjoying the beautifully lit canal and the gallery of decorated trees along Mickey Mantle Boulevard.  Visitors to Downtown in December will also enjoy cozy horse-drawn carriage rides amidst the holiday scenery.

Other Downtown in December activities include a 5K run downtown and afternoon visits with Santa Claus.
