The Plaza District Festival is quickly growing into one of Oklahoma City's most endearing annual art events, drawing a large audience of local art lovers. In celebration of the comeback of the revitalized Plaza District, the festival highlights a wide array of local performing artists, visual artists and musicians while providing interactive art education for the community. The festival is open to the public, drawing audiences from across Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas, and offers the surrounding neighborhoods an arts festival right in the heart of their community.
On Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, Oklahoma City’s Plaza District will come alive to celebrate local creativity with the annual Plaza District Festival, presented by Fowler Volkswagen of Norman. Participants in this year’s festival can enjoy live music, artist booths, kids’ art activities and a variety of local concessions. The annual event celebrates the progress of the Plaza District, a district once blighted by urban decay, now boasting a renewed energy embraced by creative and diverse culture.
