89er Day Parade
The Norman Parade celebrates the anniversary of the Great Land Run of 1889, which opened up the Unassigned Lands in central Oklahoma for settlement. This impressive parade features color guard and military parade participants, covered wagons, Western displays, classic and vintage cars, horses, bands and more. You'll even have the chance to see the parade mascot, 89er Norm.
Secure your seat on the sidelines for the annual Norman Parade, and celebrate the state of Oklahoma with the citizens of Norman and surrounding communities. Awards will be given for parade floats, round-up clubs, musical and dance groups, bands, automobiles, trucks and equestrian groups. The parade route starts at Norman High School at Main and Packard and travels east down Main Street to Crawford Avenue.
