The annual Rural Heritage Festival, held in conjunction with Perry's Spring Fest, celebrates Perry's heritage by stepping back into the early days of Oklahoma. Re-enactors will demonstrate lost arts such as rope-making, blacksmithing, soap making, spinning, tatting and basket weaving. Other festivities include school children wrapping a brightly colored maypole and sampling a day in school at the museum's 1910 one-room schoolhouse.
