Celebrate the Monarch's migration through central Oklahoma this fall at the annual event Monarch in the Park. This year's festival will be held at Lions Park in Blanchard. Visit the demonstration gardens and discover what plants work to support the migration patterns of the Monarch butterfly. Visitors will learn about butterfly gardening and the migration needs of these amazing insects. Enjoy butterfly displays, education, art, face painting, a butterfly plant sale, free seeds and the beautiful gardens teeming with many different butterflies.

Butterfly tags and releases will be held hourly by drawing. Bring some lawn chairs to better enjoy the refreshments like hot dogs and all kinds of sweets that will be sold at this year's Monarch in the Park. Enjoy a beautiful afternoon filled with family-friendly activities. Come dressed as a butterfly, caterpillar or flower, and join the annual Parade of Butterflies at 2pm. Don't forget your cameras since photo opportunities abound at this visually stunning event.
