Mark your calendar for a visit to Natural Falls State Park on January 1 for a free guided hike. Meet at the park office at 1pm for an easy, quarter-mile hike along the Pine Ridge Trail, then another half-mile along the Dripping Springs Trail. Sections of this hiking trail are moderate to difficult. Bring your leashed pets, binoculars, a camera, water and appropriate dress for a cool-weather hike. Afterwards, join us for hot chocolate in the park office/community building.

The event is in conjunction with the America's State Parks First Day Hikes initiative that will take place in all 50 states. First Day Hikes offer individuals and families an opportunity to begin the New Year rejuvenating and connecting with the outdoors by taking a healthy hike on the first day of the new year.
