Join a local historian for a group tour and afternoon stroll through the Sadler District and Capital District of Muskogee to learn about the area's unique African American history, including the legendary lawman Bass Reeves. The tour begins at Elliott Park on Altamonte Street north of downtown. Cost is $5 (cash only).  Wear comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather.  More information is available at okieheritage.com.

The worst tour ever, we could have walked the one street on our own , and figured out the architectural style of the homes . Certainly not worth $5.00, hope she had a nice lunch on our DIME
