Celebrate Cromwell's rich history at the Bill Tilghman Celebration. A century ago, Cromwell was an oil boomtown with more than 10,000 residents. It became overrun by gambling and dance halls and had a reputation for being a rowdy, lawless place. The celebration is named after city marshall Bill Tilghman, who was killed in Cromwell in 1924.

During this annual event, the town celebrates its unique heritage with a parade, art display, quilt show, horseshoe tournament, domino competition, car show and more. Browse craft and vendor booths, enjoy live entertainment from Native American color guards and enjoy delicious festival food at this one-of-a-kind event.
