Route 66 Sprints Invitational Regatta

If you're a fan of rowing or just love scenic waterways, head to the Catoosa/Claremore area for the annual Route 66 Regatta put on by the Tulsa Youth Rowing Association. The competition is held on the charming Verdigris River. Rowing Teams from Oklahoma and surrounding states will compete in side-by-side sprint races over a 1000m race course on the McClellan-Kerr channel close to the Port of Catoosa.
Spectators will watch crews from Kansas, Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma competing for the prize. Many different boat types will be racing from single sculls to eight sweep boats. The teams participating will feature youth athletes and adult masters rowers.
Westbound on I-44: Near end of Will Rogers Turnpike, take Exit 248 to merge onto OK-266 W toward Port of Catoosa/Claremore. Take OK-66 E ramp. Turn left onto OK-66 W. Continue across Verdigris River Bridge and turn left into Rogers Point Park.
