Mowdy Ranch Mustang Run
Jun 10, 2017
RR1 Box 825
Get ready for a scenic run through the hills in southeast Oklahoma during the Mowdy Ranch Mustang Run. Mowdy Ranch is just the second ecotourism ranch established by the Bureau of Land Management to help save the great American Mustang, and visitors will be able to see wild horses during the event. The run is open to people of all skill levels from walkers to serious runners competing for personal bests.
Each participants will receive a medal, t-shirt, free downloadable race photos and more. The race will be chip-timed for serious competitors, and awards will be presented to various divisions of runners and walkers. Along the way there will be hydration stations and food at the finish line. Be prepared for dirt roads and trails leading up the rocky hills and down into the heavily wooded creek bottoms. Most, but not all, of the ranch's wild horses will be moved to adjacent pastures, and they will be visible to the runners.
