Head to Tulsa for an evening of hard-driving Americana when the Old 97’s and Heartless Bastards take the stage at Cain’s Ballroom.

Even though they've never generated a substantial radio hit, the Old 97’s have spent the last two decades building a dedicated following in the Americana and Alt-Country world through non-stop touring, tight musicianship and the gut-shot-honest lyrics and distinctive voice of front-man Rhett Miller. In addition to tracks off their new record, the fiercely autobiographical Most Messed Up, fans can expect to hear classic 97’s tunes like “Question,” “Timebomb” and “Dance with Me.”

Much like their touring mates, Heartless Bastards have spent a good portion of their career building a reputation on the road, club by club, flirting just along the periphery of fame, but still managing to produce honest roots rock chronicling the hard scrabble life of America’s heartland.  After garnering critical praise and headlining festivals from their breakout record, 2012’s, Arrow, Erika Wennerstrom and company are back on the road, touring with a brand new album, Restless Ones, recorded at the legendary Sonic Ranch Studios in El Paso, TX.

Opening duties for this show will be handled by American Aquarium front-man BJ Barham. In addition to fronting his successful up-and-coming Americana band, the songwriter has been working on a new record called Rockingham, a sober, stripped down and intimate album about his hometown.
