Honor an iconic American hero with a celebration of love and equality at the annual MLK Holiday Parade and Celebration in downtown Oklahoma City. Organized by the Oklahoma City MLK Coalition, the day will include a full schedule of events capped off with a parade. All floats, vehicles and peaceful marchers will be rallying around this year’s theme, “Resilient and Relentless.”

The day's events begin with a breakfast program at the MWC Reed Center, followed by an opening program at the Freedom Center. Representing the spirit of the modern Civil Rights movement, walk alongside the silent march starting at 9:45am from the Freedom Center to the Oklahoma History Center for the Bell Ringing Ceremony at 10:45am.

The annual holiday program will begin at 12:15pm in St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral, where you'll be able to listen to Rev. Michael McDaniel speak about the life and long-lasting legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. Around 2pm, come to the MLK parade at N Walker Ave & NW 6th St and watch as it winds its way south through downtown Oklahoma City into the Bricktown Entertainment District.
