Description

Eischen’s is the first and last word in fried chicken in Oklahoma, in addition to being the oldest bar in the state. The signature dish, a whole fried chicken, emerges sizzling hot from the kitchen fryer on butcher paper, served with white bread, pickles and onion slices. Try it with a side of fried okra, chased down with a pitcher of ice-cold beer. But be warned: show up early for dinner on the weekends, or be prepared for an hours-long wait for a table. Folks drive from all over the state to make a night of it at Eischen’s.

This place is awesome! They are a hometown place that happens to be famous, and they could care less about the fame. The food is all they say it is and more!! You go in expecting really good chicken. What you get is PHENOMINAL chicken! They don't have menus, it's printed on your napkin holder. You get a sheet of waxed paper for your plate. Even if you have to wait, it is well worth it, and you'll probably leave with a new friend!
