Experience a Chisholm Trail celebration unlike any other with an authentic cattle drive. The event kicks off on September 12 in Pond Creek, which is located just north of Enid, and heads to Wichita, Kansas, over the next 12 days. The herd, which consists of 100 horned cattle, will travel approximately 10 miles per day and arrive at the next town in the afternoon.

Afterward, the public is invited to visit the cowboy camps and talk with drovers to learn more about life on the cattle drive. No food will be provided, but visitors are welcome to bring a picnic to the cowboy camps. Throughout the cattle drive, there will also be special events to honor the Chisholm Trail’s 150th anniversary. Visitors can also stop by cow camps from 3-6pm daily.
