Pounds and Pettis House Concert
4978 Hwy 8A
Head on out to Watonga for a very special evening of Americana music when Brian Pounds and Grace Pottis grace the living room at Chaparral Retreat & Guesthouse for a one-two taste of Austin.
From a regular slot at the Saxon Pub in Austin to an appearance on "The Voice" before being named as a finalist at both Kerrville and Dripping Springs and holding down opening duties for the likes of Sam Hunt, Bob Schneider, Hayes Carll and John Fullbright, Brian Pounds has paid his dues as a songsmith. This crooner with a troubadour's pen will soon be releasing a full-length album, packed with gems honed on the road. Self-produced and crowdfunded, Pounds' new record "Southern Writer" covers the spectrum, dealing with joy, heartache and loss in a way that's right at home alongside the greats of Oklahoma and Texas songwriting.
Hailed as one of the most talented young singer-songwriters in America, Grace Pettis has been wowing audiences with a dynamic voice and razor-sharp songwriting chops. Fresh off a slew of songwriting awards, including the Buddy Holly Educational Foundation award.
Don't miss this fantastic showcase of young talent in an intimate setting.
