Description

***WINTERIZATION NOTICE*** Comfort stations in equestrian campground and Lakeview Circle will be winterized beginning December 1, but the areas will remain open for primitive camping.

Arrowhead State Park, located near Canadian in southeastern Oklahoma, features 2,200 acres with amenities that will appeal to all visitors.  Arrowhead State Park is an ideal setting for a relaxed, low-key trip or an activity-filled adventure.  Visitors can explore 25 miles of trails on horseback, and Arrowhead Stables, located on-site, offers an equestrian campground and stables.  Boarding and riding lessons are available, and Arrowhead Stables also has a playground and petting zoo. Hiking and biking trails are scattered throughout Arrowhead State Park. The extensive trails in the park are great ways to explore the Oklahoma scenery and take in the natural world, whether on horseback, on foot or on a mountain bike.  On the trails, visitors may get a close-up view of some of the animals that live in the park, such as deer, wild turkeys and rabbits.

Lake Eufaula, the largest manmade lake in Oklahoma, borders most of Arrowhead State Park and is accessible by boat from a ramp located near the marina.  Water sports of all kinds are enjoyed on the lake, from water skiing to wakeboarding.  The marina located in the park offers a restaurant, fuel, tackle, bait and indoor fishing.  Fishing is a popular activity at Lake Eufaula, and the catch of the day may include catfish, crappie and sand bass, among many other types of fish.  There is also a swimming area near the marina, perfect for cooling off from a hot day in the sun.

The 18-hole golf course in Arrowhead State Park gives visitors a chance to hit the links while experiencing the beauty of the park.  Featuring a pro shop, driving range and putting green, this full-service 72-par course will provide visitors with an enjoyable day outdoors.  From two holes on the course, visitors have great views of Lake Eufaula.  Cart and club rentals are available.

Arrowhead State Park offers 100 tent sites and 91 RV sites.  40 full hookup sites are available and there is also an RV dump station.  There are many conveniently located comfort stations in the park, and the park also offers picnic pavilions, a playground and a miniature golf course.

A group camp is available to visitors, and features a kitchen and bunkhouses.  Perfect for family reunions or large get-togethers, the group camp can accommodate up to 144 people.

stopped in park office to let kids run a while. Been to Texas for Christmas and heading back to home to Branson Mo. Had a great visit with lady in office with picutures of wildlife and kids got neat packages with nature treats. Will be back to camp this summer didn't even know this place was here.

Thank you for the lovely comment, Dan and Jennifer. We've passed your comment onto the state parks management team to make sure the staff at Arrowhead State Park receive the kudos that they deserve.

We live in Arrowhead Estates and here today it is 103 degrees outside. As we were leaving we passed by the State Park entrance and saw the Park Manager out there watering the beautiful park entrance flower bed that was planted this Spring. She never tends to stop amazing us as she is always out working to make this place look better. Rather it is mowing, picking up trash or tending to the flowers, you can bet you will see her out there. She and her crew have made a huge difference to Arrowhead State Park and this also helps the property owners in Arrowhead Estates as you must enter the Park to get to the entrance of our homes. Hats off to this gal as you will see her out there at all hours and even weeknds.
