From Jeanne Parrish on 10/09/14

LOVE this park ! The RV sites are awesome ! Big wide concrete pads with 50 amp service. water and most have sewer. All are easy to get into. Even the back in ones !! Clean showers and restroom facilities Bring quarters for the showers though. Very well maintained park for sure ! The Ranger is extremely nice and very helpful !

From TravelOK.com Staff on 09/30/14

Mike, you'll need to check at the park office as you arrive. The main issue is whether the park can allow you to drive your vehicle onto the primitive site. The reason for this is that we’re trying to avoid soil compaction and erosion on these sites. However, the park manager may be able to direct you to a spot that meets your needs. In addition, we've passed along your contact information to the park office, so someone should be getting in touch with you shortly. Have a great day and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Mike Middleton on 09/27/14

I have an 8 foot pop up camper. Are those allowed in the primitive sites or are only tents allowed?

From Susan Dominic Westbrook on 05/29/14

It's all looking so good! We love it at arrowhead. Would like to see more river sand brought in for the beach. 9th holiday weekends I'd like to see the bathrooms cleaned a little better. But Arrowhead is our favorite lake spot on Eufaula!

From Troy on 03/30/14

We are at the tail end of our 3000 mile trip to the coast and back and have stayed at many private and state parks. Even though we only stayed one night, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Campground Host at the RV sites was extremely friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home. He went out of his way to make us comfortable. The sites were roomy with large concrete pads and they were well spaced out. We drove down to the new playground by the lake and the kids got some wiggles out before we got back on the road again. We will definitely stay here again if in the area. Thank you for providing a great spot for a reasonable fee.

From TravelOK.com Staff on 01/24/14

Dusty, Golden Age Passports are not accepted at Oklahoma State Parks. These are intended for use at the Federal Corps of Engineers campgrounds, the National Park Service and U.S. Forest Services properties. However, for campers 62 and over, Oklahoma State Parks offer a $2.00 discount on the base rate per night, with proper identification. Additional rates for electric, sewer or water are not discounted. If you have any questions, please give Arrowhead State Park a call at 918-339-2204. Best wishes and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Dusty on 01/24/14

Do yo honor the Senior Pass issued by National Parks?

From TravelOK.com Staff on 01/21/14

Melissa, unfortunately Arrowhead State Park is not one of the seven Oklahoma State Parks that accept advance campsite reservations. For more information, please call Arrowhead State Park at 918-339-2204. Best wishes and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Melissa French on 01/19/14

Need availability info on full RV hook ups for May 16, 17 and 18th. Close to the group camp.

From Stan and judy on 10/20/13

Beautiful place. Stayed in a tent right on the water at lakeview campground. Only a handful of other tent campers in the whole park. And not many more rvs. New bathrooms/showers and playground at lakeview. Need quarters for showers. This is becoming fairly common in ok state parks. Trail system is mainly for horses. Rangers and staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back. Not a good park for bikes, tho. Hilly, winding roads with blind corners and no shoulder. So biking is a little dangerous. A bunch of big deer near the roads nearly every time we drove somewhere. Can't wait to go back.

From BB on 09/30/13

This past weekend we had a family campout at Turkey Flats. There were 4 campers, 21 people, and 11 dogs. We do this twice a year, this was the first time in many, many years that we decided to come back to Arrowhead. The campground was fantastic with all of the new work that had been down, including 50 amp service. The campground host was very accommodating, polite, and friendly. The one and only negative thing, was that the park management allowed a horse riding club to camp in the same campground, with all of their horses. Our family members are huge animal lovers, but there is an equestrian campground just down the road specifically for campers with horses. Our otherwise wonderful long relaxing weekend was not going to happen. There was so much traffic, trucks with trailers, people on horseback, it was not relaxing in the least. We were told that this was a one-time event and we certainly hope that this is true. We all would love to return, and plan on it...only if the horses are in the equestrian campground.

From TravelOK.com Staff on 09/03/13

Ana, tarantulas are found throughout all of Oklahoma and are most often seen between June and November. Also, tarantulas are nocturnal, so chances are that you will not come across one unless you are actively trying to. If you have any other questions about visiting Arrowhead State Park, please call 918-339-2204. Have a great day and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From ana on 09/03/13

Have not been there yet ...just wanted to know if there are a lot of tarantulas?

From TravelOK.com Staff on 08/14/13

Dawayne, we're happy to say that is not true! The group camp cabins at Arrowhead State Park are still there. Best wishes and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Dawayne Spradlin on 08/11/13

Is the group site still open? i heard the cabins were taken out is this true?

From TravelOK.com Staff on 07/30/13

Joanne, according to Arrowhead State Park staff, your husband can pay in advance on Thursday for the entire weekend. You will need to alert the camp host when he or she comes to collect the fees, and then you can 'reserve' the two spots with a lawn chair. Also, in the Turkey Flats Campground there are a total of 20 full hookup sites. If you have any questions, please call the park directly at 918-339-2204. Have a great trip and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Joanne Solmon on 07/28/13

We are planning on coming up for Labor Day for 3-4 days. There will be 3 families and will be needing 3 sites. If my husband comes up on Thursday, can he pay for 3 spots for Friday thru Monday even though the rest of the group will not be arriving until Friday or Saturday. Also, we will have 2 RV's - do all of your spots have water, electricity and sewer lines. Thank you

From TravelOK.com Staff on 06/14/13

SE, we definitely understand your frustrations and are currently working to get a reservation system in place for tent and RV sites later this year. While most of our state park sites are available on a first come, first serve basis, there are some parks that will unofficially accept reservations for RV sites. Two that we know of are Robbers Cave State Park in Wilburton and Natural Falls State Park in West Siloam Springs. For more information on visiting Arrowhead State Park and what activities may be going on during that week, please call 918-339-2204. Best wishes and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From SE on 06/14/13

I know the OK parks do not take reservations, but we live at least 4 hours away & were wanting to spend the week of July 4th there. What would be your advice on getting an RV spot for that week? Also, are there any special activities that are planned during that time for kids?

From TravelOK.com Staff on 06/10/13

Lonnie, unfortunately Oklahoma State Parks do not accept reservations for tent or RV campsites at this time. The Oklahoma Tourism & Recreation Department is currently working with other state agencies and their contractors to put a reservation system in place for Oklahoma State Parks, and we're looking forward to release date later this year. Until then the 100 tent and 91 RV campsites at Arrowhead State Park are available on a first come, first serve basis. Best wishes and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Lonnie Rickey on 06/08/13

Can RV sites at Turkey Flats campground be reserved? I sent an e-mail to Arrowhead State Park and didn't get a reply.

From TravelOK.com Staff on 02/19/13

Ted, please contact Arrowhead State Park staff directly at 918-339-2204, and they will be able to help you. Happy camping and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Ted on 02/17/13

For each of your camping loops Main, Lakeview, Echo Ridge and Equestrian How many total sites are there? How many tent-only sites are there? How many sites have electric hookups? How many sites have water hookups? Thank you

From TravelOK.com Staff on 11/26/12

D L, if you'll click the 'Read More' button above, you'll see what areas of the park are closed for the winter. Currently, only two comfort stations are closed. Best wishes and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From D L on 11/24/12

But when are they open? All year?

From TravelOK.com Staff on 11/07/12

Don, unfortunately Oklahoma State Parks do not accept reservations for tent or RV campsites at this time. The Oklahoma Tourism & Recreation Department is currently working with other state agencies and their contractors to put a reservation system in place for Oklahoma State Parks, and we're looking forward to an early 2013 release date. Until then the 100 tent and 91 RV campsites at Arrowhead State Park are available on a first come, first serve basis. Best wishes and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Don Inbody on 11/06/12

We are going to be in Arrowhead on November 24 for one night. Do we need to make reservations?

From TravelOK.com Staff on 10/31/12

Thank you for the lovely comment, Dan and Jennifer. We've passed your comment onto the state parks management team to make sure the staff at Arrowhead State Park receive the kudos that they deserve.

From Dan and Jennifer on 08/14/10

We live in Arrowhead Estates and here today it is 103 degrees outside. As we were leaving we passed by the State Park entrance and saw the Park Manager out there watering the beautiful park entrance flower bed that was planted this Spring. She never tends to stop amazing us as she is always out working to make this place look better. Rather it is mowing, picking up trash or tending to the flowers, you can bet you will see her out there. She and her crew have made a huge difference to Arrowhead State Park and this also helps the property owners in Arrowhead Estates as you must enter the Park to get to the entrance of our homes. Hats off to this gal as you will see her out there at all hours and even weeknds.

From Tom and Cindi Porter on 08/13/10

We visited Arrowhead this past weekend and even though everything is brown from the heat, the park was wonderful, quiet and great place for family vacation. Can't wait to come back and visit again
