The secluded, ivy-covered estate at the end of a lonely road takes its name from a trio of mysterious, and perhaps connected, deaths that took place there in the early 1960s. But in the decades since Art Thibault took the estate over and built it into an elegant and one-of-a-kind restaurant, the Haunted House has become just as well known for its to-die-for steaks, lamb and seafood. Enjoy your entrée with the restaurant’s signature authentic wild rice, grown on a Minnesota Indian reservation, and hot asparagus spears.
