My brother-in-law and sis put me up here. It is a great location and the rooms were clean and nice. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks for the great accomodations.

I have stayed with the Duncans at Hochatown CL several times. This is the most friendly and accommodating lodge around. I just booked another stay and it was handled first class. A full 5 stars! Bill Waxahachie Texas

My husband and I loved our stay!4 stars

From Amy Duncan on 12/02/11

This gentelman came into my lobby late one evening of the 4th of July weekend. He proceeded to inform me that he was gonna stay for one night near the lake for the holiday weekend @ a discounted rate as he was here on military orders. He had no paperwork in hand. When I confronted him about the paper work he went out to his vehicle and left. Since then he has gone on every possible travel site to post hateful comments about my lodge. I take this quite personal. My entire family works very hard each and every day to help ensure that all our guest are happy. He has gone as far as to make rude comments about a gentelman in a sweet stained t-shirt being behind the desk. That gentelman was my husband. He had come in to assist me as he could see that this man was confrantational. Yes it was over 100 degrees outside and he was sweating. We do honor military discounts as well as many others. I do my best each and everyday to make my customers happy. I find it quite aggravating that this man can go out and say he is a part of the military and try to get discounts or special treatment. I treat all my guest with courtesy and respect and believe me I have family of my own who has served and are currently still serving. I am greatful to them for this service. Bottom line this man came in telling me what was going to happen, when I didn't participate in his sharade he continually tries to post negative comments.

From Worst Experience on 07/28/11

I was in the area on military orders and had been quoted the reduced military rate when I booked the room a month in advance. I saw no vacancy when i got there and thought it must be a nice place to stay. I was told at the front desk by a guy wearing a sweat stained undershirt that they wouldn't have quoted me that rate. I went to my vehicle to get the piece of paper with the ladies name who quoted me this rate. When I got back he told me he had someone on the phone willing to pay the regular rate and he couldn't give me the military rate. So at 1100 in the evening I was put out trying to find a place to stay. The way this man, who it turns out was the owner, would treat another person for an extra buck is appalling. Although I can't tell you about the place itself since my room was given to someone else, I can only imagine if the place is run by this man it wouldn't have been a pleasant experience anyways.
