Close to Northeastern State University, the Iguana Cafée offers a great place to grab a bite, drink some joe and meet up with friends right in the heart of Tahlequah.
Early in the morning, walk in to the rustic, open café and let the smell of freshly roasted, brewed coffee tease you awake. Pair that critical first cup with one of Iguana’s homemade scones - they feature a different flavor each week.
At lunch, enjoy one of their specialty sandwiches, like the roast beef Crocodilian, turkey Chameleon, vegetarian Garden Snake or Norwegian tuna salad Matamata, all lovingly crafted on your choice of bread or wrapped up in a tortilla. For some oven baked goodness, try the café’s baked ham and Swiss or Big Bad Hambasa, a bagel loaded up with ham, kielbasa, special sauces, veggies and cheese. Each sandwich comes with a choice of pasta or potato salad, chips and salsa or a cup of soup.
Unwind with a group of friends after work over a few beers, enjoying the fresh air and beautiful view from the café’s second story redwood deck.
