Description

The Beavers Bend Depot & Stables in beautiful Broken Bow offers the ride of a lifetime on a 1/3 size replica of the C.P. Huntington S.P. train built in 1863. With rides offered twice an hour, wind your way through Wahoo Hill and cross under a tunnel at Beavers Bend Resort Park to take in all that nature has to offer.

After the train ride, be sure to stop by the stables to enjoy a one-hour trail ride through 2 1/2 miles of scenic terrain, with native wildlife views included. Children under five are encouraged to ride double with a parent, while older children will be at ...

Angela, no appointments are necessary for the horseback or train rides, and children under five must ride double with a parent. The horseback rides leave every hour on the hour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., while the train rides leave every half hour beginning at 1015 a.m. Your family also might like to check out the Forest Heritage Center or David Boren Hiking Trail while you're there. I would like information on horseback riding and if I should make an appointment? Can my 2 yr old ride with me or the father? Also anything for a family to do together and have fun with a child thats two and another thats 10.

I try and contact these parks directly to try and plan a camping trip but NO ONE ever calls me back!! Will the trains be running during spring break? March 9-15th? Will be able to ride the horses? Hay ride? Can someone please contact me!? We love our OK State Parks but it is difficult to plan a camping trip...

Jimmy - We did some research, and while you’ll have to contact the depot directly for photos, we confirmed that the depot is open seasonally and the train is still in operation. Hours of operation vary by season and are based on park attendance. If there is a crowd at the park, then the train will be running!

came by there years ago, when on the way to get married to carol, saw three engines, have not been able to get back there again, would love some photos of the Train, Engines, Rail cars, Track Layout. I took my kids on this trail ride today and it was the worst experience every! The guide took us off the trail and the horses went off path with the kids after calling for the guides help they just sat there while other parents had to get the kids back on path and then there was upset children and parents everywhere.the owner was disrespectful and no help.
