Lake Thunderbird State Park offers a variety of water activities and recreation. The park features two marinas (Calypso Cove Marina and Little River Marina), nine boat ramps and two swim beaches. The Discovery Cove Nature Center, where the adventure begins, is located in the Clear Bay area. Deer archery and waterfowl hunting are available in designated areas during the applicable seasons. The hours listed above are the operating times for Lake Thunderbird's park office, located on the north side of the lake at 13101 Alameda Drive. The park office will be closed on holidays including Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day and President's Day.
RV Camping: $20-$28 per night.
Tent Camping: $12-$17 per night.
Little Axe Campground: $5 day use fee charged per vehicle from 6am-10:30pm.
