Lake Thunderbird State Park offers a variety of water activities and recreation. The park features two marinas (Calypso Cove Marina and Little River Marina), nine boat ramps and two swim beaches. The Discovery Cove Nature Center, where the adventure begins, is located in the Clear Bay area.  Deer archery and waterfowl hunting are available in designated areas during the applicable seasons. The hours listed above are the operating times for Lake Thunderbird's park office, located on the north side of the lake at 13101 Alameda Drive. The park office will be closed on holidays including Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day and President's Day.

The park is open for camping 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in designated camping areas.

Lake Thunderbird Nature Center's hours of operation are 9:30am-4:30pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

RV Camping: $20-$28 per night.

Tent Camping: $12-$17 per night.

Little Axe Campground: $5 day use fee charged per vehicle from 6am-10:30pm.

Located 13 miles east of Norman on Alameda Dr, 11 miles south of I-40 on Choctaw Road Exit 166, or 15 miles east of I-35 on Hwy 9.

Pat, thanks for your question! RV and tent camping sites at Lake Thunderbird State Park are available on a first come, first serve basis only. Since you're looking to camp on Memorial Day weekend, you may want to call the park at 405-360-3572 and see how full they anticipate to get during that time. We are coming to the north side of Oklahoma City dor a wedding on May 30. Do you have any camping spaces available near rv the water for 33 feet Motor home for three or five days
