Description

Lake Thunderbird State Park offers a variety of water activities and recreation. The park features two marinas (Calypso Cove Marina and Little River Marina), nine boat ramps and two swim beaches. The Lake Thunderbird Nature Center, where the adventure begins, is located in the Clear Bay area.  Deer archery and waterfowl hunting are available in designated areas during the applicable seasons. The hours listed above are the operating times for Lake Thunderbird's park office, located on the north side of the lake at 13101 Alameda Drive. The park office will be closed on holidays including Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day and President's Day.

The park is open for camping 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in designated camping areas.

Lake Thunderbird Nature Center's hours of operation are 9:30am-4:30pm Wednesday through Sunday.

The Lake Thunderbird State Park office will begin closing on Sundays starting September 7, 2014, and the Lake Thunderbird State Park nature center will begin closing Mondays through Thursdays; open only Fridays, Saturdays &Sundays starting September 5, 2014.

RV camping: $20-$28 per night.

Tent camping: $12-$17 per night.

Little Axe Campground: $5 day use fee charged per vehicle from 6am-10:30pm.

Hi My concern are the bathrooms. How often are they cleaned along with the showers? Is there a fee for showers? How many bath houses are there and how many showers in each? I don't want to have to wait in line or face unsanitary conditions.
