The Lynn Riggs Memorial honors the playwright R. Lynn Riggs and is located in the old library building in the heart of Claremore. Riggs was the author of "Green Grow the Lilacs," which is the basis for the famous musical "Oklahoma!" Come to the Lynn Riggs Memorial to see a wide variety of photographs taken throughout his life and to listen to Lynn's personal audio recordings. Other memorabilia include the original "Surrey with the Fringe on Top" and Laurey's honeymoon dress from the musical "Oklahoma!"

From Rt 66, go N to Will Rogers Blvd, then E 4 blocks and turn L on Weenonah. Museum is on the left. From I-44, take Exit 255. Turn L on Hwy 20, R on Will Rogers Blvd to Weenonah, then turn R 1 block.The museum is on your left. Enter through the museum door, or if it is locked, through the double doors (fire dept. administration) to the right of the museum.
