Whether you stay for a week or a weekend, the 300-acre Meadowlake Ranch just outside of Tulsa lets you get away without having to go away.
The scenic ranch boasts several varieties of lodging, a dude ranch, and hunting and fishing spanning over 1,000 acres of hardwood forests, limestone bluffs, rolling hills, meadows, creeks and waterfalls.
Relax in the romantic lakeside log cabins, which come complete with a two-person whirlpool tub, fireplace, and your choice of king-size bed or queen-size futon in addition to a sleeper sofa in the living room. Each cabin has a full kitchen and modern bathroom, and is wired with a stereo system to complement the TV with DVD player. The lakeside cabins also offer a secluded patio with seating next to a private lake. A luxurious in-cabin massage is also available.
The bluff-top cabins have a bird's-eye view of all five of the Meadowlake Ranch's private lakes as well as a panoramic view of the Tulsa skyline. With a queen-sized bed, twin bed and two full-size futons, the bluff-top cabin can comfortably sleep six. It is also equipped with a full kitchen and bath as well as a TV, DVD player and stereo system.
It doesn't get any more authentic in the heart of native America than staying inside an American Indian teepee. Each of the three American Indian teepees can sleep up to six on padded cots, which are provided though bedding is not. Each teepee has nearby private bathrooms with hot showers, a modern toilet and a sink. Nearby is a mini-fridge, microwave and area for charcoal grilling.
Watch the sun rise while enjoying a hot country breakfast delivered right to your room each morning. Afterward, try your hand at something new the Meadowbrook Ranch has to offer, like tomahawk throwing, straw calf roping, six-gun pistol and rifle shooting or the target archery.
More traditional activities are also offered like swimming, horseback riding, hiking, canoeing, fishing, and mountain biking (BYO bike). A canoe is provided for guest use.
Tulsa's Meadowlake Ranch also offers several day trips, ranging from wildlife and bird watching to a 3-D archery range.
