My father and I used to fish this lake in our '57 Grumman canoe. Great experience for me as a kid.

When will Mountain lake be open to camp again? It's our favorite place to go!

From Debora on 04/21/15

We went to this lake every summer growing up to camp and fish. Great memories of this little place hidden away. People were always extremely nice. Hope to visit again one day. Glad to know it is still running as a overnight camp grounds. Great memories!!!

My cousin and I took advantage of the beautiful day Sat. Oct. 25 and I took some pictures of this lovely little lake. They have a minimum of 24 in. and 1 bass per day, with a 2 fishing pole maximum. The very steep boat ramp discourages most fishermen, but the do have a electric ramp for $6. They have put in 5 new electrical outlets in the camping areas and the City of Ardmore keeps it up. There is no mud and that's a plus for me! Before you go there to fish, take a trip and check it out first. We were glad we had done that. You need a game plan for getting your boat in the water. It's a 2 man job for sure. They have a 15 boat limit too. Crissy from the office came to check on us when she saw us get our truck to get the boat out. She was very sweet, extremely nice and very informative. No big boats allowed and it's a no swimming lake since it is one of the water supply lakes for Ardmore. Just a pretty, quiet, peaceful, clear lovely lake. Sorry to say we didn't catch any fish this time out, but we'll be back! Wish we lived closer.

Upon arrival at the lake with a friend we asked the camp host if we could go atop the dam and view the area. She was very nice and allowed us to do so. She came upon the dam a while later and visited with my friend and I all while walking her dogs. She was very pleasant and answered any questions that we had in a polite manner. The camp site is well maintained and sits in an area for that perfect get-away.

I thought host was very nice ! We were told that someone wanted to put a big boat on the lake witch is impossible in the first place as it is carry on only. 10 horse or smaller . The host was very nice even walked up to the dam to visit that was nice. The person that said that the host was rude was probably the one that had big boat to bad his lass just more room for the people that like to have quite and fun place to camp and fish.
