Our sites are of varied lengths, so we don't assign a site to you, but instead let you choose the site that works best for you. Scott, sorry for any confusion. Pets are allowed in all Oklahoma state parks as long as they are kept on a leash no longer than 10 feet and cleaned up after. Pets are also allowed in some state park cabins with an additional fee of $10 per night. First off, Jacque in the office is fantastic! She was a great help in planning our trip there. I was also able to meet the park ranger on arrival, who was also very friendly. Tent sites are somewhat limited, but there are a few select nice spots. The lookout site was nearly full when we arrived, so we stayed down by the RV sites. I was nice and quiet. This is one of the best hiking parks we've visited. Going off trail makes it even better. There was some nice hiking out in the woods NW of the campsite. The old CCC structures are very cool to see. Definitely a must-visit Oklahoma park.

Are all the cabins booked for March 19-21?

Here is some information and prices for the group camp. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you for using TravelOK.com! Our group camp facility consists of a large lodge building and ten bunkhouses. The lodge building has a fully equipped commercial kitchen, dining hall with tables & chairs to seat 120 people and rest room & shower facilities. The bunk houses are individually heated and air conditioned. There are six double-bunks in each bunkhouse. There is no kitchen or bathroom in a bunkhouse. We provide the mattress for the bunks and you provide the bedding and towels. The kitchen has a large commercial range with double oven, grill and burners. It also has a large walk-in cooler, double-door refrigerator, chest freezer, ice machine and microwave. All of the pots & pans, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, trash bags, cleaning supplies, toilet paper and paper towels are provided. The facility is set up to accommodate up to 120 people. There is a two-night minimum on weekend rentals. Reservations can be taken up to one year to the date in advance. Regular Rate ... $300 per night, plus tax. Day Use Only ... $125 plus tax.

Hello, Diana. We sell firewood at the office for $3.50 per bundle, tax included. You may also collect anything that is dead and down in the park. The office is open from 8am until 4:30pm every day. If you are coming into the park after office hours, we recommend that you call the office in advance of your arrival and we can have your firewood ready and available for you. Diana, please check in with the park staff in person or by calling 918-336-4141. There are some instances where collecting firewood from the forest floor is permissible. Some park offices sell firewood. Park guests may also bring charcoal and starter logs if they choose. Firewood from outside the park is discouraged to help prevent the spread of harmful insects. I have been to Osage State Park twice so far. I went with my girlfriend and we parked and talked, then we just drove around to see the park. She lives in Bartlesville so it was very close. It is very woody, and we found it extremely clean. The bathrooms are a little old but in great condition. They were very clean. Great walking trails. I am going again with a different girlfriend and going to pitch a tent and camp out. I cant wait!

How many hiking trials are there?

My family and I visited 10/1/12. The shelter was welcome, as a squall moved through the area. The bathroom was very clean. Ranger Kyle was very friendly and helpful, as well as quite knowledgeable. I can't wait to visit again to go hiking!

I know the park has a pool, but are visitors allowed to swim/cliff jump in the river or creeks? If so where at are the best locations? I also heard of a rope swing. Is that still open to the public? Last an final question, where are the best locations inside the park to rock climb?

Frank, the only fees for use of the park, besides cabin rental, is for the swimming pool. Those fees are 4.00 per adults and 3.00 for children under 12 years old. By the way, the pool is closed on Mondays. There is no day use fee to enter the park and there's certainly no charge to enjoy playing in the creek or cliff areas. We have been here several times and we love this park. The rangers and staff are very friendly and seem very proud of this park. We stayed in one of the cabins for our anniversary. The cabin was very affordable and clean. Every morning the deer would graze outside our window. This place is a haven from the hustle and bustle of our world.

Osage hills state park is one of my favorites in the state. it just has a unique feel about it. neat rock formations along the hiking trail and lots of trees. fall is just breathtaking with golden foliage. i took a friend here to go hiking and he told me he didn't even know they had scenery like this in oklahoma.
