Located just west of Bartlesville in the heart of the Osage Nation in northeast Oklahoma, Osage Hills State Park is a prime example of Oklahoma's natural beauty.  With lush forests, rocky bluffs and serene waters, the park boasts 1,100 acres of scenery.  A visit to Osage Hills State Park in the fall will inspire visitors, as the foliage transforms from green to vivid shades of yellow, orange and red.

Trails on the rocky, hilly terrain provide a challenge to hikers and mountain bikers, and there are many to choose from in Osage Hills State Park.  Visitors may catch a glimpse of white-tailed deer or a wild turkey while on the trails.  Tennis courts and a ball field are available to visitors, and the swimming pool provides a great way to cool off on a hot day.

A total of 23 tent sites and 20 RV sites with water and electricity hookups are options for a stay at Osage Hills State Park.  The park also offers a dump station for RVs.  Visitors can relax in one of eight cabins in the park, which were constructed of native stone by the Civilian Conservation Corp in the '30s.  Each cabin has central heat and air, a fireplace, kitchen facilities and allows pets for a small nightly fee.  Cabins one through three and five through eight offer one bedroom, while cabin four offers two bedrooms.  A group camp is also available.  The park offers a picnic area and picnic pavilions, as well as comfort stations and a facility with modern bathhouses.

My husband and I stayed in a cabin the last week of April. Enjoyed everything there was to do. Our cabin was clean and very comfortable. Did have an unexpected guess though, a lizard. No harm done,if you live in Ok. you see them and they like to share living spaces. Would like to go back when leads are changing. It should be beautiful. Thank-you for a well kepted place to visit.

From Ashley Gipson on 05/04/15

It's a nice park, to be sure. Rivers, woods, cabins, a pool, and even a tennis court to use. There are lots of hiking trails but they are poorly marked. My fiancé is a huge hiker and even he had problems finding the trail head or which way to go when the trail split. The river was filled with teenagers in swimsuits and kids throwing moss at each other. Which is likely fun for you if you have hyper kids or are a teenager, but for a young adult couple it was off-putting. This may not be the best choice if you're wanting a quiet hike.

Hello, Renaye! I'm sorry, but we don't have a two-bedroom cabin available for the dates you requested. We do have several one-bedroom cabins, however. Are there other dates that might work for you? You can call the office and we will be happy to help you find some dates that might work. Thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From TravelOK.com Staff on 04/04/13

Renaye, please call Osage Hills State Park at 918-336-4141 to check on cabin availability. They will be more than happy to assist you. Best wishes and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Renaye on 04/03/13

are there any two bedroom cabins for 6 people available for june 23-27th?

From owner on 04/01/13

Hello, Scott! All of our eight cabins at Osage Hills State Park are pet friendly. We do have to charge a $10 per night pet fee, however. Your pet must be on a leash when outside. Please call our office and we can give you more information and answer any questions you might have. Thank you for using TravelOK.com and inquiring about Osage Hills State Park!

From owner on 04/01/13

Hello, Roberta! We have 20 semi-modern sites and 25 primitive sites on a first-come, first-serve basis. Our sites are of varied lengths, so we don't assign a site to you, but instead let you choose the site that works best for you. The office is open every day from 8am until 4:30pm, except from 12-12:30pm for lunch. You can call us and we can tell you how many sites we have at that time. Please let us know if you have any questions and thank you for using TravelOK.com.

From TravelOK.com Staff on 04/01/13

Scott, sorry for any confusion. Pets are allowed in all Oklahoma state parks as long as they are kept on a leash no longer than 10 feet and cleaned up after. Pets are also allowed in some state park cabins with an additional fee of $10 per night. Since pet-friendly cabins must be requested when making a reservation, you must call instead of booking online. For more information, please contact the state park you are interested in visiting. Thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Scott on 03/30/13

It would sure be nice if it was plainly stated which parks/cabins accept pets and which ones don't. The FAQ just says some in the state do, but don't tell which parks.

From roberta on 03/29/13

is the RV camping first come first serve or can I make reservations ahead. How full or partial hook up do you have there? Thanks

From owner on 03/18/13

Thank you so much for your comments about our park! We are glad that you had an enjoyable visit and were able to take advantage of our hiking trails. We look forward to seeing you again in the future and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From TheMcs on 03/18/13

First off, Jacque in the office is fantastic! She was a great help in planning our trip there. I was also able to meet the park ranger on arrival, who was also very friendly. Tent sites are somewhat limited, but there are a few select nice spots. The lookout site was nearly full when we arrived, so we stayed down by the RV sites. I was nice and quiet. This is one of the best hiking parks we've visited. Going off trail makes it even better. There was some nice hiking out in the woods NW of the campsite. The old CCC structures are very cool to see. Definitely a must-visit Oklahoma park.

From owner on 03/14/13

We don't currently have any cabins available for those dates, but you can call the office at (918) 336-4141 and we can put you on a waiting list, in case we should get a cancellation. We can call you if a cabin becomes available. Thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From TravelOK.com Staff on 03/14/13

I would like information on your group camp.

From owner on 03/01/13

Hi Sara, I'm sorry, but we don't have any facilities for horses. The closest place with equestrian camping and trails would be Walnut Creek State Park, located north of Keystone Lake, west of Tulsa. Their phone number is (918) 865-4991. They have about 15 miles of equestrian trails and have an equestrian campground. Please let us know if you have any questions or if there is anything that we can do to help you. Thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Sara on 02/28/13

Hi, wondering if there are camp sites and trails for horses? I have been looking for some place to ride horses in the Osage Hills.

From TravelOK.com Staff on 02/06/13

Josh, there are tent sites available near Lookout Tower that are not located next to RV sites. For more information you can also call the Osage Hills State Park staff at 918-336-4141, and we're sure they'll be able to come up with a camping spot to your liking. Best wishes and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Josh on 02/05/13

Is there an option for back country primitive camping? I'm not the kind of person who enjoys the outdoors next to an RV park.

From owner on 01/25/13

Hello, Kirsty! I'm sorry, but we don't have any cabins available for the night of February 16th, but we do have openings for February 17th. If you call the office, we can put your name and phone number on a waiting list in case someone cancels. If you are going to be a late arrival for your cabin, please let us know and we will make arrangements to accommodate you. The office is open every day from 8am until 4:30pm. Thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From TravelOK.com Staff on 01/24/13

From kirsty crabtree on 01/24/13

Is there a certain time you can't enter the park to get to your cabin? Is there any cabins available feb 16 and 17

From owner on 01/14/13

Hello, Diana. We sell firewood at the office for $3.50 per bundle, tax included. You may also collect anything that is dead and down in the park. The office is open from 8am until 4:30pm every day. If you are coming into the park after office hours, we recommend that you call the office in advance of your arrival and we can have your firewood ready and available for you. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you for using TravelOK.com and we look forward to seeing you in the future!

From TravelOK.com Staff on 01/14/13

Diana, please check in with the park staff in person or by calling 918-336-4141. There are some instances where collecting firewood from the forest floor is permissible. Some park offices sell firewood. Park guests may also bring charcoal and starter logs if they choose. Firewood from outside the park is discouraged to help prevent the spread of harmful insects. Best wishes and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Diana on 01/12/13

Where is the firewood?

From owner on 12/19/12

I have been to Osage State Park twice so far. I went with my girlfriend and we parked and talked, then we just drove around to see the park. She lives in Bartlesville so it was very close. It is very woody, and we found it extremely clean. The bathrooms are a little old but in great condition. They were very clean. Great walking trails. I am going again with a different girlfriend and going to pitch a tent and camp out. I cant wait!

From TravelOK.com Staff on 11/05/12

Judy, that sounds like a great idea! Dogs are welcome in the Oklahoma State Parks as long as they are kept on a leash no longer than 10 feet, never left unattended and picked up after. Also, when you are calling to make a cabin reservation, please let the staff know you have a pet, so that you will receive a pet-friendly cabin. There is also a nominal fee for bringing pets. If you have any questions, please call the state park you intend to visit directly. Best wishes and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Judy Burton on 11/05/12

My husband & I are thinking about a weekend of R & R at one of the state parks....don't know exactly when or where. Are your cabins and trails pet friendly. We can board our dog, but would like to bring him along. THANKS

From TravelOK.com Staff on 10/16/12

J Pereira, Osage Hills State Park has two pull-thru sites that will definitely accommodate your 40 ft motorhome. With fall break approaching, you might want to give the state park a call directly at 918-336-4141 to confirm that they have a site available, since the RV and tent sites are given on a first come, first serve basis. Best wishes and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

I know the park has a pool, but are visitors allowed to swim/cliff jump in the river or creeks? If so where at are the best locations? I also heard of a rope swing. Is that still open to the public? Last an final question, where are the best locations inside the park to rock climb?

From Elmer Downing on 06/12/12

A hidden gem in our state park system. The staff and park ranger were great.

From TravelOK.com Staff on 06/07/12

Frank, the only fees for use of the park, besides cabin rental, is for the swimming pool. Those fees are 4.00 per adults and 3.00 for children under 12 years old. By the way, the pool is closed on Mondays. There is no day use fee to enter the park and there's certainly no charge to enjoy playing in the creek or cliff areas. Have a great time at Osage Hills State Park this summer and thank you for using TravelOK.com.

From Amanda on 04/23/12

How do I find out about the different cabins you offer as well as rates and availiablility for them? Is there a place online to make reservations?

From Frank on 04/18/12

Is there any other fees that have been added recently? I have been told that a fee of $15 per person is to be paid just to enter the park and swim at the creek and/or cliffs.

We have been here several times and we love this park. The rangers and staff are very friendly and seem very proud of this park. We stayed in one of the cabins for our anniversary. The cabin was very affordable and clean. Every morning the deer would graze outside our window. This place is a haven from the hustle and bustle of our world.
