What a combination - a terrific, elegant restaurant in a gorgeous, remote location just a stone’s throw from Beavers Bend State Park. Great-tasting, tender steaks and chicken, savory appetizers, a relaxing atmosphere and consistently excellent service are the hallmarks of this establishment, made even better by the recent addition of an outdoor patio that features live music from spring through fall. Abendigo’s offers not just one of the best all-around dining experiences in the region, but in the entire state.

VERY nice place. We were seated promptly by the friendly hostess and had our beverages in front of us in no time. We got menus and were given adequate time to look and decide. I had a Caesar Salad to start. I'm not kidding when I say IT WAS THE BEST CAESAR SALAD I'VE EVER HAD. It was perfect. My Wife ordered the ribeye steak. It was a good cut cooked to a perfect medium and the flavor was great. The garlic mashed potatoes were a bit much for her but I got a taste and thought they were very good. I was in a salad mood and so I ordered the Summer Citrus Salad. It had avocado, strawberries, apple, glazed walnuts in a bed of mixed greens. It also comes with bleu cheese but I'm allergic and ordered it without. It also comes with a white balsamic vinaigrette but I substituted the Lime/cayenne vinaigrette instead. Simply put, it was amazing. All the ingredients were perfectly fresh and the flavor of all elements of the salad worked in concert for a delightful experience. Now a negative, or rather, 2 of them. The ceiling fans were apparently set on the 'Last chopper out of Saigon' setting. It was blowing things off our table. The other thing was some loud obnoxious lady at the bar who was getting looks from most people in the restaurant because she was so boisterous and overbearing. At least she wasn't using profanity but it was a big bummer of a distraction in what was a great dining experience. Highly recommended.

Abendigos was great! Awesome environment, food and service. One of the top restaurants in Ok. I read where their chef was one of the top winners in an Ok cook off....I believe it. Was worth the wait and I now know why there was a wait!! I will return for their signature filet.

From Kaitlin Rouk on 11/16/11

I wasn't impressed with Abendigos. The food was good, once we got it. We had a 45 min. wait, not a big deal, but they forgot us. I guess when we gave them our name they wrote a different name down. We waited for close to 1 hr and 15 mins before being seated. I might try it again, but not sure.

My husband and I travel to Broken Bow at least 4 times a year and we never miss the opportunity to eat at Abendigos. We think they have the best flavored steaks in all of Oklahoma. I went to Broken Bow in November and never got there for a steak and I really did miss it. I will be there for sure in the spring.

From Angie Howe on 11/14/10

Horrible food. Don't try it. Steaks too salty to eat, shrimp batter raw. Bread tough. Spent $50. Worst restaurant ever.

From Jon Cook on 01/30/10

My wife is in Broken Bow several times a year and I usually go with her. We stay at the Turning Leaf Inn and always order our food from Abendigo's and take it to our room to eat! Great food every time!
