The former home of US Senator Robert S. Kerr is now a secluded bed and breakfast inn and meeting facility for business or pleasure travelers. Visitors can walk among natural and manmade beauty. It is situated atop a ridge overlooking the Poteau River Valley and the thickly-wooded foothills of the Kiamichi Mountains. The Kerr Museum is located next to the mansion and depicts the history and development of eastern Oklahoma, along with prehistoric artifacts and pioneer displays. Lovely and quiet location. Nice rooms. Nice people. Our room needed 1 more bath towel for the amount of people. Our tub was missed in the cleaning. We bought clorox wipes and cleaned it ourselves. Our breakfast table had a name card for us. Breakfast included was a nice touch. I wish breakfast had included at least one protein item and real creamer. Good value.
