From David Canoy on 05/25/15

Made a camping attempt on Memorial day weekend. Intended a single night knowing the weather was going to be uncooperative at best and more likely off the hook. I made a call and the staff offered to waive the 3 day minimum cabin rental for the holiday weekend - sadly not enough space for my crew. Staff on site was courteous and helpful everything was clean and well maintained. camping was going very well until around 130am when our beds became flotation devices and we cut and ran for home. Still a great place to go and the wildlife and facilities are top notch. We will definitely try again.

Becky, dogs are allowed in all of Oklahoma's state parks provided they are cleaned up after and kept on a leash no longer than 10 feet. It's also not a bad idea to bring the shot records along with you, although you shouldn't need to show them to anyone. For more information, please feel free to call Sequoyah Bay State Park at 918-683-0878. Best wishes and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Becky on 03/15/15

From HEATHER HEFLIN on 02/26/15

what is your definiton of PREMIUM SITE?

From TravelOK.com Staff on 01/01/15

Tammy, thanks for your question. It is our policy in all Oklahoma State Parks to charge for any campsite occupied after 2pm. If you're on a site after 2pm, it is keeping someone else from using the site and you will be charged for another night. However, you are more than welcome to check with the park staff about getting a refund by calling 918-683-0878. Have a great day and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Tammy on 12/31/14

Is it possible to get a refund from the prepay kiosk if you leave early?

From angie cobb on 06/24/13

I would like information on reserving the covered picnic area at Sequoyah Bay for a weekend in September. Thanks!

From TravelOK.com Staff on 06/19/13

Courtney, unfortunately Oklahoma state parks do not have a reservation system in place for tent and RV camping, but it is something we are currently working toward in 2013. Until then, only cabins and lodges are available for reservation and the 71 RV sites and 180 tent sites at Sequoyah Bay State Park are first come, first serve. For more information, please contact the park at 918-683-0878. Best wishes and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Courtney on 06/19/13

How do the RV campsites work for the 4th of July? Are you taking reservations?

From TravelOK.com Staff on 03/04/13

From TravelOK.com Staff on 02/21/13

Brenda, the base rate for camping without any hookups is $12 per night. If you get a semi-modern site, which includes electric and water hookups, that is $20 per night. Sequoyah Bay State Park does not offer any sites with sewer hookups, but there are two on-site dump stations. For more information, please contact the state park directly at 918-683-0878. Happy camping and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Robin W on 05/28/12

I have gone to this lake my entire life, I have continued to bring my own children here. You will find a few bad seeds anywhere you go, but it is overall a great place to swim, picnic, and just have a safe family get together. The rest rooms are clean and kept stocked.

From Carl H on 05/27/12

Just left today. Beautiful park, well maintained. Clean and friendly. A great family park.

From April R on 05/25/12

as for a bad review this person must have been there during a snow storm who knows, Sequoyah bay state parknot Western Hills, same lake, has good security and numerous cameras throughout the park. they did have high levels of water a few months ago but have done alot to get the park prepared for campers and park goers. i go to this park on a regular basis due to its locality and have never had a problem there even while camping several nights at a time.they have recently redone a lot within the park to update it and make it even more beautiful for users. it is quite peaceful and beautiful..with all the amenities needed for a nice weekend outting.

From glenn b on 05/18/12

sequoyah bay...you would be better off going to a knock down drag out than this park! if you are not into heavy drinking and swearing ,this is not your park,,dogs run loose also...drugs agogo ,,not worth it rv sites are not kept up,,,grass is to tall.. plain and simple this is a drunks paradise, and no i was not there on a weekend,,can only imagine?? this is a park you could get mugged in be careful

From TravelOK.com Staff on 09/20/11

Don, we do our best to provide as much information about each state park as possible in the space available. As a general rule, camping and RV sites are available on a first come first served basis. The second red state park map link provided above is full of information about the park but if you don't find what you need there, please feel free to contact the park directly using the phone number listed above and one of the park staff will be happy to answer any questions that you may have. Have a wonderful visit to Sequoyah Bay State Park and thank you for using TravelOK.com.

From Don Milner on 09/17/11

Why can I not find campsite information for Seminole campground in Sequoyah State Park? Also, if one can reserve golf teetimes online, why cant we reserve a campsite online? The State promotes tourism for cabin or lodge stays and gives RVing a very low priority. There should be no reason to have to Call each campground for RV site information.

From Teresa on 07/05/11

Great place, beach was rocky and full of algea.Marina serves good breakfast.Saw bluebirds and scissor-tails and vultures.

From Dan Parks on 11/17/10

Enjoyed this park very much. Took our new travel trailer for it's shake down on Labor Day and was surprised to get a nice spot on the grass area w/o reservations. Friendly staff and park was kept orderly and fairly quiet after 10p.m.

From TravelOK.com Staff on 11/08/10

Jon, please contact the park directly for rate questions and availability. We hope you have a nice stay at Sequoyah Bay State Park.

From jon robertson on 11/04/10

Is there internet service available nearby? How crowded is it on weekends this time of year? How much is a tent site with electric?
