Cherie, only a handful of RV sites can be reserved online. The remainder are kept open as first come, first serve sites. Thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Cherie on 04/28/15

Can all RV sites be reserved or just certain ones?

From TravelOK.com Staff on 04/13/15

Phillip, the Spavinaw Area opened for the season on March 15, so we hope you'll be able to visit soon! Best wishes and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From PHILLIP HEADRICK on 04/11/15

WHAT ARE YOUR OPEN DATES. I HAVE BEEN GOING TO SPAVINAW PARK FOR OVER 70 YEARS AND THIS WINTER IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE SEEN THE PARK CLOSED. I AM HEARING IMPAIRED AND UNABLE TO USE THE PHONE

From TravelOK.com Staff on 08/27/14

PLH, if the park closes for winterization like it did last year, we will typically find out in late October or early November. All closures and notices will be listed on this page. The base rate for tent camping is $12 per night, although some premium sites are $17. For seniors 62 and older, there is a $2 discount off the base rate. For more information, please call the park office at 918-435-8066. Best wishes and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From PLH on 08/25/14

WHEN DOES THE PARK CLOSE? WHAT IS THE SENIOR TENT RATE?

From TravelOK.com Staff on 07/15/14

Jason, the Spavinaw Area has 26 sites with water and electric hookups, and you are more than welcome to set your tent up on one of these sites. Please note that all sites are available on a first come, first served basis and the sites with water and electric hookups are $20 per night. If you have any questions, please call the park office at 918-435-8066. Happy camping and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Jason on 07/14/14

I would like to know if the campsites have electricity available? We plan on using a tent and not a RV. I am assuming it would be in the add on premium site

From TravelOK.com Staff on 06/25/14

Krista, the park staff will be able to tell you how full they have been in the past years, and you can check on that by calling 918-435-8066 or 918-589-2651. As for the fireworks, there are two displays that we know of. If you'll click on 'Festivals & Events within 10 miles' under the map feature on this page, it will pull up Grand Lake Fireworks and Duck Creek Fireworks. Click on those for more information. As to pets, dogs are allowed at all Oklahoma state parks, but they must be kept on a leash no longer than 10 feet at all times and cleaned up after. Have a great trip and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Krista hicks on 06/24/14

We are wanting to come down 4th of July weekend. Is it really crowded around then? Any fireworks shows nearby? Also are pets allowed to camp?

From TravelOK.com Staff on 05/19/14

Johnna, totally disabled discounts are 50 percent off the base rate for camping with proof of disability such as a Medicare card for those under the age of 65, notice of total disability from the Social Security Administration, Veterans hunting or fishing permit showing 100 percent disability signed by the Director of ODVA, letter of disability from Workers Comp, insurance or retirement boards or signed letter from personal physician on letterhead. Additional rates for electric, sewer or water are not discounted. At our parks that offer lodging, lodge room and cabin discounts are 15 percent for senior and disabled visitors Sunday through Thursday nights only, excluding holidays. Some restrictions may apply on cabin and lodge rooms. If you have any other questions, please call the Spavinaw Area at 918-435-8066. Have a great day and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From johnna brown on 05/19/14

How can I find out about discounts for disabled?

From TravelOK.com Staff on 04/09/14

Kaye, tent campsites are not able to be reserved at this time. All sites are still available on a first come, first serve basis. If you have any questions, please call 918-435-8066. Best wishes and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From Kaye Coleman on 04/08/14

Are you now able to reserve tent sites? We are wanting to have a family reunion type camping session in June and need to be able to get sites all together for us.

From TravelOK.com Staff on 05/29/13

C.C., unfortunately RV and tent campsites are not able to be reserved at this time. We are working to get a reservation system in place for campsites later this year, but until then all sites are available on a first come, first serve basis only. If you have any questions, please call 918-435-8066. Best wishes and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From c.c.keen on 05/27/13

Can you reserve tent spots? Do you have a direct contact number?

From the James' on 09/19/12

Great place! New showers! Campsites are large with plenty of room for kids to play. Lots of large shade trees. Gounds well kept. The camp host is super. We have found a little paradise!

From Mickie Blum on 02/03/12

New showers put in. Very clean. Great park hosts. Loved the beauty of the park and the people we met. Park was kept clean and grass mowed regulary. Will return whenever we are in Oklahoma.

From Norma. Venable on 10/03/11

No showers!!. The porta potties had not been emptied, very bad. The only flush toilet is at one end of the park, not convenient. Very disappointed on Oklahoma. Arkansas puts you to shame.

From Bobby on 07/16/11

A wonderful place that even the locals use on a regular basis for swimming, fishing, and camping. Lots of shade around most campsites. Plenty of 30 amp hook ups but only one 50 amp hook up. Creek has a gravel bottom so bring old tennis shoes to swim with. Family and kids had a good time.

From Bobby on 07/16/11

There is one permanent restroom that is still open and several port-a-johns. The newer restroom/shower facility seems to have been damaged by a flood.

From Angela on 07/16/11

How are the restroom/shower facilities?

From Larry Wright on 02/12/11

I would like to reserve the 2nd Saturday in June for the Wright Family please. Contact me by e-mail Larry Wright
